Sonic Sledge is a band that came together out of the desire of three guys to become one unit and jam their music as well as some of their favorite cover tunes. Starting in the late 90s, the band had made it through a few personnel changes and a big musical change. Staying true to the power trio concept, the band has meticulously picked songs which are both popular and stayed within the playability of three musicians wanting to pull it off to the best of their ability to move the audience from their seats to their feet. With this philosophy we continue to strive for great performance in addition to working up requested songs from the fans who come out to see us nearly every performance. We currently perform rock-n-roll that spans over 5 decades featuring artists from Jimi Hendrix to Seether. |

BJ Rocchi Drums, Lead Locals, Acoustic Guitar |
Simply known as Beej, he has the heartbeat of a drummer and the soul of a vocalist. Beej began singing out of necessity when Sonic Sledge originally formed in the late 90s with their original music while contributing his lyrics to the original bluesy sound of the band. |
Mike Ward Lead Guitar, Vocals |
On the LEFT handed guitar, shredding the rhythms and leads is Mike Ward. Mike is relentless in his desire to bring the absolute best show for the fans of rock-n-roll. He studied guitar for four years at the University of Rio Grande. His 6 years experience transcends those talents and abilities of most of his peers of the same experience. His invaluable work ethic makes him the musician he is today. Fans of Sledge had already enjoyed his jams as a special guest with the band for nearly a year before joining the group. His relationship with the band made him a lock to take over the reigns of the six-string. |
